AI & ML interests
The Minds, Machines, and Society lab at Dartmouth CS studies NLP and machine learning with an emphasis on trustworthy, interpretable, and socially aware AI. We work on LLM interpretability, model evaluation, bias and toxicity, misinformation, persuasion, computational social science, multimodal reasoning, grounding, and agentic language models. We are also interested in neurosymbolic AI and cognitively feasible models: systems that combine learned representations with structured reasoning, memory, abstraction, planning, and other mechanisms that support more human-like and reliable reasoning.
